Jeans are a staple of all men’s wardrobes but historically they have been ridged and thick material that was meant to be durable and long-lasting. Today, although jeans are still durable and long-lasting, they don’t need to be uncomfortable. We are able to use a large blend of materials to create great-looking jeans that are flexible, stretchy, and comfortable. Check out my picks for the best stretch jeans for men. Each option below offers great durability, flexibility, and that classic blue jean look.
What are the best stretch jeans for men?
Best Overall Stretch Jeans: Fultons by Mugsy
I’m typically pretty indecisive on things but when it came to picking the best stretch-fit jeans selecting Mugsy was one of the easiest decisions I’ve had to make in a while. I’ve tried tons of brands that claim they are stretch fit but nobody can compete with the level of stretch and comfort that Mugsy delivers. They feel like you’re wearing a pair of premium joggers or Lululemon pants but look exactly like normal denim jeans. The Fultons above are one of my favorites. They’re very stretchy and have a nice medium blue color that is great for casual settings. I also love their Studio Blue pair which is a deeper blue. Once you try Mugsy Jeans I can pretty much guarantee you will end up buying more from them. Don’t believe me? Best Runner Up: Slim Broome Jeans by Mott & Bow
The team over at Mott & Bow is one of the few other brands I’ve found that make a really good pair of stretch-fit jeans. The Slim Broome Jeans have a pretty good 4-way stretch and are very comfortable. These jeans also have a bit more of the traditional denim jeans feel. So if you are looking for a pair of jeans that still feel like jeans but are stretchy and comfortable then I would highly recommend this pair.
Best Cheap Stretch Jeans: AirFlex Athletic Fit Jean by American Eagle
Although many people stop shopping at American Eagle once they are out of high school, they can be a great spot to find a deal now and again. I have to say that I am quite impressed with what they have been able to offer with their AirFlex fabric when it comes to creating comfortable and sleek-looking jeans. They have an athletic fit which will give room in the thigh but taper below the knee. They maintain their fit between washes despite being made of a stretchier material. I find the AirFlex fabric to be very breathable and for the price, I have not found a better option.
Best Premium Stretch Jeans: Kace by AG
AG is one of my personal favorite brands when it comes to ultra high-end denim and chinos. They spare absolutely no cost. Their colors are rich and long-lasting and their material is super breathable, flexible, and soft. If money was no object, these might make up my entire wardrobe of pants. The Kace’s can be worn all year round but are perfect for colder months since they have a dark wash color. Their straight-leg fit gives you ample room to move around, and their 98% cotton blend is stretchy enough to add an extra layer of comfort that is noticeable when moving around a lot. If you have no budget or want a super high-end pair of jeans that will last you half a decade or more, definitely give these a try!
Best Stretch Skinny Jeans: James Skinny Jeans by Mavi
When it comes to jeans there is arguably no fit that it is more important to have a great stretch material than the skinny jean. Mavi does and amazing job at creating a high-quality material that will hug your legs but at the same time remain breathable and stretchy so you don’t feel restricted. They are made of an environmentally sustainable material and still manage to hold their shape despite being machine washable. Something that can’t be said for all stretch jeans, although, all the ones on this list should fit that criteria. Mavi also has plenty of colors and tons of other jeans to choose from so be sure to search their site to find what fits you!
Best Working Mans Stretch Jean: Levi’s 559’s
Levi is a name almost synonymous with men’s jeans and their 559 relaxed straight-fit jeans are one of the best jeans for active lifestyles. They offer tons of room throughout the jeans and are made of a durable and stretchy material that won’t rip or tear no matter how much you move. Their 5 pocket styling also allows for ample storage of anything you may need to hold onto throughout the day. I don’t think this brand needs any more introduction, if you don’t have a pair of Levi’s yet, what are you doing?

FAQ’s
Can guy’s wear stretch jeans?
Of course! Stretch jeans are great for everyone regardless of gender. They offer increased movement and comfort with the same look and feel of stiffer authentic denim.
What kind of jeans should a 40 year old man wear?
By the age of 40 guys typically value comfort over anything else. Straight leg or relaxed jeans have a lot to offer for the 40 and up crowd, especially if they are made of stretch material. They offer more room, flexibility, and comfort meaning they can be worn for longer without being an annoyance..
Do stretch jeans go baggy?
Depending on where you purchase you’re jeans from, that companies “flex” or “stretch” material will not maintain the fit it had when you originally bought it. However for high quality jeans like Mugsy or others on our list this is not an issue.
How often should you wash jeans?
If you’re jeans are not too dirty you can go through 2 or 3 wears before a wash will be necessary. Beyond this point even if the jeans are still clean they tend to stretch out on me and a wash and dry returns them back to their original fit.
