If you follow my style you know I wear white leather sneakers with about 90 percent of my outfits. They go with anything, are usually pretty comfortable, and are fairly easy to clean off after a night out. You really can’t beat them. I have gone through tons of white leather sneakers over the years so decided to round up my favorites and rank them to help you guys out who might be in the market for a fresh pair.
How I Ranked the Best Men’s White Leather Sneakers?
Below are the 4 main categories I looked at when ranking these sneakers:
- Style: Nothing crazy here basically just how much I like the look of the shoe
- Comfort: Self explanatory. Do they fit good? Can you walk in them all day? Do they make your feet hurt after a while?
- Quality: Did the leather feel premium? Do they last a long time or how quickly do they wear out?
- Value: Basically looking at the price vs the other 3 categories and giving a bang for your buck score here.

Best Overall: Amberjack The Low-Top (9/10)

My all time favorite is definitely the Amberjack low top sneaker. These ones really cover all the bases. They are very stylish and can go well in any environment from work outfits to casual going out looks. They also use a premium full grain leather so the quality and durability are top of the line. And I think where they separate themselves from other stylish premium options like KOIO which is a close 2nd is that they are just extremely comfortable while also significantly more affordable which is important as even the most quality of white leather sneakers are bound to get scuffed and need to be replaced. Overall, these are the best bang for your buck in my opinion.
Runner Up: KOIO Capri Triple White (8.5/10)

These really are a very close 2nd. There isn’t much to dislike about these other than the price. They are amazing quality, very stylish, and pretty comfortable as well. They just are pretty expensive compared to the competition.
Best Chunky: APL Nostalgia ‘87 (8.5/10)

My next runner up here is the retro looking APL Nostalgia ‘87. If you are looking for a chunky pair these are my absolute favorite. I love the style and I think they are perfect for more trendier outfits. They go great with some baggy jeans and an oversized tee. They are definitely very premium quality and are quite comfortable as well. They are a bit pricey though which is really the only downfall here in my eyes.
Best Value: New Republic Kurt Leather Sneaker (8.25/10)

New Republic have been my go to for years. I have literally bought this sneaker maybe like 5 to 6 times now over the last 10 years. These are a very very nice pair of white leather sneakers. The KOIO and Amberjack quality and durability are just slightly better but honestly these are really tough to beat because the price is so good for what you get. If you are looking for a really good pair at a great price I highly recommend these. One of the biggest issues is they are almost never in stock especially at my size so if you get a chance to buy these definitely scoop a pair. I used to buy them 2 at a time to have a fresh pair always in my closet ready for a special occasion.
Best Casual Pair: Lululemon Cityverse Sneaker (7.88/10)

These are definitely a bit of a different style than the others here. I really do like these. They are very comfortable and look nice. I just feel like this style is kind of limited to very casual outfits. I don’t think they look the best with nice outfits but are more a great walking around pair for running errands etc. Pretty good price though for a nice pair and a good brand.
Best Gum Sole: Beckett Simonon Morgen Trainers (6.75/10)

If you like a gum sole and a bit of a unique style then you’ll appreciate these ones from Beckett Simonon. I like the design of these but I’ve had a hard time figuring out how to style them. I can’t seem to get them to work with many outfits. But the quality of the shoe is quite nice. The sole is very firm and supportive which I do like. They are a good middle of the road pair in my opinion but really just like the top gum sole here.
Best Cheap Pair: Banana Republic Vegan Leather Sneakers (6/10)

If you are looking for a pure knockaround pair then these are your go to. The quality is not great. The leather is very cheap and flimsy and creased on the side immediately. The soles have worn down very quickly. Classic example of you get what you pay for and owning this pair has made me really appreciate other pairs ranked higher up on this list. But I will say I do think these are great to have because I end up wearing them a lot when the weather is really bad or I’m going out to a bar where I know they’ll get ruined. I hate wearing nice shoes in those situations so I love having a knockaround pair.
Best Slip-Ons: Greats The Royale 2.0 Slip On (6/10)

The Royale slip on is a pretty nice pair if you are looking for a slip on. I love the comfort of these and the convenience is great. The quality is pretty solid too. Really the main issue here which is a bit subjective is that I’m not a huge fan of the slip on look. And for almost 200 I feel like this is quite expensive for a slip on pair and I don’t think it is really worth it. That said if you like slip on style and want a quality pair of slips these are very good.
Best Sustainable Pair: Cariuma OCA Low (5/10)

And rounding out the list is the Cariuma OCA Low. Again I hate giving out a bad rating for what is really not a terrible shoe but style wise they just aren’t my favorite. I don’t love the design and really dislike the green logo on the back. The comfort and quality are both fine, not really the issue. Big thing again for me is I just don’t enjoy the style and don’t see the value from that angle. Where I will say they gain points and why they might be right for you is if you align with the brand and the messaging they stand for. They focus on sustainability and plant trees for every pair sold. If that is meaningful to you and you like the style you will like these.
White Leather Sneaker FAQs
What are the most comfortable white leather sneakers?
In my opinion, the Amberjack low tops take the cake for most comfortable white leather sneaker and received a 9/10 in this category.
How do you clean white leather sneakers?
I think they are very easy to clean. I simply take a rag or a paper towel and get it just barely damp. You don’t want to soak them and ruin the leather, but wet enough to get out spots, and just wipe them clean. I then quickly take a dry rag and paper towel and dry it quickly and that usually gets the job done for spot cleaning.
How long does a pair of white leather sneakers last?
I think a quality pair should last you at least 2 to 3 years through regular use, and that’s wearing them at least twice per week and not getting them totally beat up. I usually like to have a fresh pair for nicer occasions and good weather and then a knockaround pair for bad weather or going out somewhere you know they might get ruined.
