Are you debating whether to buy some gear from the Legends clothing brand? You’re in the right place. I’ve already tested and worn their stuff, and I’m happy to fill you in on what’s worth buying, what to avoid, and everything else I think you might want to know about the brand.
How did I hear about Legends?
I first came across Legends after seeing a lot of pro athletes and celebrities rocking their gear. I noticed some pretty big-time guys like Baker Mayfield, Steve Nash, and Lamar Jackson were all wearing Legends. After a quick search, I found out that many of these athletes are actually investors in Legends.
Later on, my friend Chris Hogan, a 2x Super Bowl champion, got invited to take part in the 7-on-7 event they put on in partnership with another notable investor, Quavo Huncho. Again, I found myself more interested in learning what they were doing over at Legends. I thought all of these partnerships were pretty dope, which prompted me to finally scoop some gear for myself.
What is Legends Apparel?
Legends Apparel is a relatively new and fast-growing activewear brand, founded in 2019 by Scott Hochstadt and Chip Neff. As mentioned above, they’re backed by some high-profile athletes and have even had stars like Patrick Mahomes seen wearing their gear.
Legends makes activewear for men, women, and even kids. They offer everything from shorts and T-shirts to hoodies, sweatpants, and accessories. Their main collections right now include the Fairfax, Aviation, and Luka lines.
What I Tested?
While I haven’t tried everything Legends has to offer, I have tested out a good amount of their gear. Below, I’ll quickly run through the pieces I’ve tried and share my honest thoughts. I’ll be sure to update this as I get my hands on more.

Product Reviews
Aire Tee Review

The Aire Tee is pretty solid. I’ve definitely worn it a lot to the gym. I have it in both black and dune. It’s lightweight, stretchy, and definitely feels like a performance-focused gym shirt. For reference, I wear a size medium. I’m 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, and the fit is spot on.
Luka Shorts Review
The Luka Shorts are a really solid pair of gym shorts. I have the 7″ version with the liner in a size medium, and they fit great. Not too long, not too short. I think the 5″ would be way too short for me.
They have a sporty design with split hems on the sides and perforations in the back, which make them great for running or gym workouts. It’s nice having the built-in liner if you’re someone who prefers to go without compression shorts and wants to save a little money on buying extra compression shorts. Personally, I wear them with compression shorts underneath, I like a double layer of support.
The waistband is firm and secure with no slipping or sliding, and the pockets are deep with a zippered one in the back, which is a must. Overall, these are a high-quality pair of workout shorts.
Bishop Shorts Review
The Bishop Short is also a winner. These have a more traditional look and feel compared to the Luka. No perforations or split hems. I have the 7-inch inseam in a size medium with the liner.
They feature a firm waistband and the same pocket setup as the Luka, including a zippered pocket in the back, which all gym shorts need. One thing to note: they’ve definitely gotten tighter and seem to have shrunk slightly after a few washes.
In terms of fabric, performance, and features, they’re essentially the same as the Luka. It really just comes down to your style preference. Legends also offers some pretty unique colorways. I personally think the micro paisley taupe color (pictured above) is dope… my girlfriend disagrees. If you like to stand out and wear something different, Legends has a lot of options for that.
Luka HD Jogger Review

The Luka Joggers made my list of the best joggers for men. They’re a very lightweight and breathable pair, ideal for warm or mild weather. If you’re looking for something cozy or warm, these aren’t the ones. They feel more like workout material than something you’d style for like a trendy outfit. These are strictly performance joggers in my opinion.
That said, if you’re after a quality pair of workout joggers, these are among the best. For reference, I’m about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, and I went with a size medium. They fit really well. Perfect for the gym or any workout. I love the breathable fabric and the snug waistband, just like the other Legends pieces I’ve tried.
Final Verdict: Does Legends Clothing Live Up To The Hype?
Overall, I’d say yes, Legends does live up to the hype as a performance workout gear brand. They’re slightly more affordable than brands like Lululemon and Alo, but still deliver high-quality products that fit well, look great, and have a cool factor, especially with a lot of well-known athletes and influencers wearing their gear.
From what I’ve tried so far, the pieces lean more toward true performance gym wear rather than athleisure or lounge gear. That said, I haven’t tested everything yet, and some of their other collections may offer more versatility.
Bottom line: Legends is a dope brand that’s definitely worth the hype. Plus, we have a solid Legends discount code to sweeten the deal. You won’t find that with many other brands in this space.
Legends Clothing FAQs
Does Legends Clothing run small?
I don’t think so. Everything fits pretty true to size in my experience. I’m 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, and wear a medium in most brands. I went with a medium for Legends and everything fit well.
Does Legends Clothing shrink?
I did notice that the Bishop Shorts felt like they shrunk a little bit, even though I usually don’t put my clothes in the dryer. I just wash and hang dry everything, so it was a bit surprising. That said, the shrinkage wasn’t major. They just feel a bit more snug than before. Could be in my head, to be honest. Overall, I wouldn’t worry too much about shrinking, as performance fabrics generally don’t shrink much.
